Join Mike Barber Ministries as we bring the hope of Jesus Christ inside prisons across Texas. Volunteers have the opportunity to participate in worship services, encourage inmates through one-on-one conversations, pray with men and women seeking hope, and witness life transformation firsthand. Whether you're serving on a missions trip or regularly volunteering with our team, you'll play a part in helping reach those who are often forgotten by society but never forgotten by God.
All volunteers are required to complete Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) volunteer training and approval before serving inside correctional facilities. Our team will help guide you through the process and prepare you for a safe, meaningful, and impactful ministry experience.
Training must be complete 6-8 weeks in advance for one of our weekends.
This training will last you for two years as a volunteer with TDCJ (Texas Department of Criminal Justice)According to the state of Texas this training will last you for two years allowing you to go inside prisons.
**You will not be allowed inside the prison without this training complete**A computer and one hour of your time.
